Poached eggs with pecorino cheese, pesto, and mushrooms on ciabatta, with a side of ricotta.
This is what I had for breakfast at Clipper Cafe this morning. At $12 without the ricotta, it was definitely a value-for-money dish from a gorgeously decorated cafe. My only fault would be the mushrooms, which were quite tasteless; although the pesto did make up for this.
The cafe serves coffee by coffee alchemy, which is definitely my favourite blend- it is used by my other cafe crush, Plunge. Needless to say, my skim latte was topped with the perfect amount of velvety foam and deliciously smooth.
I would happily, and without encouragement, recommend Clipper Cafe for a Saturday breakfast followed by Glebe markets.
